Our Story

We're Ruth and Brant! We met in our early 20s through a mutual friend on Saint Patrick's Day and have been together ever since. We just celebrated our 10-year anniversary, and although we have lots of fur-babies (2 dogs and 3 cats), we've always had the desire to grow our family with children of our own. We both have been fortunate in our careers and although we work hard, we love spending time with each other and try to do that as much as possible. 

We love to spoil our pets, explore our neighborhood, go out with friends/family to try new places to eat or catch the newest movies. We love our home and enjoy having friends over for themed movie nights, puppy playdates, and game nights. We're also fortunate to have lots of family nearby. Ruth is the youngest of 8 children, and her parents, several siblings, and nieces/nephews live less than 30 minutes away. Brant is an only child but had lots of extended family around growing up, who we now spend time with on weekends and for holidays. Our family motto could be "there's always room for one more," and this goes for food, pets, friends, and family!

Why we choose adoption

We've always envisioned our lives with children. We studied up on how to be good parents, prepared ourselves financially and emotionally, and it's been in our hearts since we got married. After many years of trying with the assistance of doctors, we have been unable to have biological children and still very much want to grow our family.

We've been exploring and learning about adoption for some time now and are excited to experience parenthood, to help little ones thrive, help them explore their interests, support their dreams, and become amazing individuals.

We both have a lot of love to share and would be honored to be your chosen adoptive parents.

Our promise

Our promise to you and this child is that we will provide a safe and caring home. One where they can be confident, curious, and well-loved by a large community of family and friends. We will strive to provide real examples of compassion, respect, and love through our relationship as a couple and also through our interactions with others. We promise to take our commitment to parenthood seriously and to walk hand-in-hand with this child while teaching them how to overcome any obstacles in a loving way.  We also promise to honor you as the birth mother in whichever way you choose and, though we are far from perfect, we hope we can be the parents you envision for this child.

Before you go you should know

You should know that we take this responsibility seriously, and what matters most is the wellbeing of this child. We would feel honored to be given the opportunity to parent and raise a well-adjusted child to the best of our ability. We are committed to each other and to our family, and we see it as the most important priority in our lives. We're not perfect, but we believe we can provide a home full of love, fun, and compassion with lots of support from our extensive family and friends as well. We can say with certainty that every one of our family members and friends would love this child as much as we would and that they would be there with us from the beginning.
